USHL Cup to be Presented at Top Hockey Tournament
The United States Hockey League and organizers of the Bauer International Invite have partnered to present the "USHL Cup" during the tournament which takes place November 5-7. The event is the largest and most prestigious youth hockey tournament in the world with over 400 teams and 7,300 players competing across seven divisions in rinks throughout the Chicago area.
"We are excited to be a part of this event as these young players are on the brink of their eligibility at the USHL elite level," said USHL Commissioner Skip Prince. "Together with College Hockey Inc.'s participation at the Midget level, we continue to commit to the American Development Model and the pathway to success with the sign posts of USA Hockey, USHL, NCAA, and the NHL."
The USHL Cup will be presented to the winners of two separate Bantam Major Divisions 1996 birth year players during the tournament. A total of 80 teams will compete in the Bantam Major category and are split into two separate 40-team tournaments. The 80 teams will be divided into 16 sub-divisions with each one being named after one of the 16 USHL Member Clubs.
The tournament is one of the most highly scouted hockey events at this level. Representatives from every USHL team and many NCAA Division I institutions will be in attendance.
"We are thrilled to partner with the USHL and present the USHL Cup to the winners of the Bantam Major divisions," said Kevin Mann, Executive Director of the Bauer International Invite. "These players are striving to one day play in the USHL and we are proud that we can help deliver the message to the players and families about the elite level of USHL hockey."

Why wouldn't they also give the USHL Cup to the Midget Minor Level who are even closer to playing in the USHL? Heck they could just give the cup to all the winners at each level but forsure at midget minor. It is a great tournament and Kevin Mann and the "Bauer Team" do a fantastic job. Chicago is fortunate and should be very proud to have such a tourney.
