At the link:
http://www.collegescholarships.org/scholarships/sports/ice-hockey.htm

It identifies the following:

NCAA ice hockey scholarship limits:

Mens D1 ice hockey programs may each offer 18 scholarships.
Womens D1 and D2 ice hockey programs are permitted 18 each.
Mens D2 ice hockey programs are limited to 13.5 per program.

Does that mean each D1 Women's Hockey Program has 18 or that they
can have up to 18?

Not every school offers 18 scholarships. The ivy's offer none, Union and Sacred Heart offer none to mabe a partial. Each conference can limit the number. In cach year their are about 100 scholarships awarded, half go to canadians, who gereraly get a whole, and the rest go to kids from the US and Europe. Most of those are not full rides

Where did you come up with your stats? Canadians get the full rides? Most DI schools, excluding the Ivy' and Union have 18 scholarships each year, some being full some being partial, and can be divided in many ways to accomodate the players that they need and want. It doesn't matter where you come from. Union and the Ivy's are based on financial need but the assistance given can be pretty sweet depending on how badly the player is wanted.

It's obvious with Union's record that even scholarships can't help that program right now. Much more opportunity for the good student athlete, but not for the ACT challenged.

The Womens Hockey Website, had entries that reported how many scholarships each school had. It hasn't been updated for quite some time.

How can you find out, how many scholarships each school has.
