Illinois Junior situation

IMO there is only one league for JR's in Illinois.
GLJHL Bulldogs.

No offense intended to the other leagues, however I find the Steel very weak in skills and the proof is on the stat sheet. I think its a political can of worms that is killing the teams ability to compete.

The Na3hl is a pretty good league but the Hitman team management speaks for itself... The league dropped out of nationals IMO because they would have to play teams from the GLJHL and frankly they are terrified that everyone will find out that the GLJHL is stronger then the NA3HL.

Kutos to the GLJHL management for making sure that politics does not play a part in team choices and that even the younger players get developed.

If the other leagues don't develop their players I can't see how they can claim that they are the strongest league other then boasting that x amount of players in the past ended up in a higher league. A league can not ride the coat tails of the past forever.

Furthermore, hiding from the obvious competition my refusing to participate in season tournaments and nationals against a more talented team not only makes the situation more obvious, but it also fails to develop their own teams.

The most successful Chicago Jr's team is obvious to even the smallest minds.
The Chicago Jr Bulldogs is hands down the best managed Jr's team in the area, and it shows in the competitiveness of the team, and the success of the GLJHL.
