LOL. It's pretty sad when your 1st & 2nd round USHL draft picks refuse to play for your organization. First round pick Christie (91) came from Topeka in the NAHL & after a week here in Chicago packed up & went back to the NA because the Steel staff is less than sufficient to coach at the USHL level; not to mention Christie referred to the 96s, 95s & 94s on the team as a joke. His awareness of juniors made his mind up as the Steel roster is filled with a bunch of inexperienced guys that won't be able to compete at this level. Second round pick bolted soon after he found out he had to come to the Steel so he went to Canada. Hummmm, something is seriously wrong. 4 Steel players were decommitted this winter/spring/summer which means they LOST their scholarships as a result of no development!!!! |
