The Ducks just got destroyed by Iowa State last weekend 8-1 and 5-0. Shots on goal for Iowa 105 and Ducks 42.

Iowa State Coach Dr. Alan Murdoch is the Dean of college hockey coaches with over 1000 wins. Ducks owner was able to get his players exposed to college hockey environment by spending a weekend on the Iowa State campus. Winning against Iowa State is not the question - the opportunity is everything. These kids are having a great time living together in a resort community, going to school, working at their part time jobs, working out in a great facility, ice time, ice time and more ice time. Add to that their success in a very good league that has a great record getting players into good schools and you have happy campers. An owner that cares, coaches that care and deliver a good experience for players are rewarded with dedicated players that care about each other. Ducks are leading the league without any player in the top five in stats - this is a team effort and it is great to watch. Hopefully, no Ducks players read this blog, but Go Ducks, anyway.
