NCAA needs to protect the student athlete. Canadian hockey leagues have contracts with players, college hockey players are left in no where's land when the coach decides he doesn't like you. One thing with coaching changes but OZ was known to do this at Wisconsin during his tenure as an assistant. No whining about it, how about firing these coaches with no ability to coach another team for a year, like NCAA not allowing players to transfer to another college? OZ's record of messing with recruits, players is long. Remember this is a COLLEGE game that ties the education to the hockey. If these coaches don't want to deal with the education part and make it a four year deal including education and allowing rostering then they need to go to pros.
Can't call out kids for going pro and then not accept being called out for cutting college students. Great coaches take the talent they have and make them great. Think OZ should have worked with seniors to develop them as part of team, maybe not stars but members of a team who for three years worked to be there.
