Now taking orders for full outfits such as the one shown below. This one is my own outfit and it is not for sale (sorry). The crown, hair ties, necklace is all satin cloth applique with sequins and small beads.

The outfits come with crown (with a back drop) or hair barrettes, back barrettes,
dress, leggings, purse, half shawl fringed with ribbons...more.

I cannot quote a price until I know what all is wanted with the outfits. Here is the photo of my outfit:

Southern traditional regalia & seamstress

August 5 2008, 6:09 AM

Hello:

I think your regalia is absolutely beautiful. I especially like the detail in your applique work. I am a seamstress and make grass dance, fancy shawl, and jingle dress regalia for my family.

I really like the crowns you make and the matching jewelry and hair ties. I will be needing another outfit for myself and maybe a traditional outfit for my 12 year old daughter. I like your outfits because they are very colorful and interesting. My younger daughter has CP and wears leg braces. She dances fancy shawl and jingle, but with great difficulty. She really liked your traditional regalia.

How much would you charge for a full girls outfit with everything, hair ties, barrettes, necklace, crown, dress, etc. She is about a size 10 girls (give or take).

I am a size 22/24 and might be interested in an outfit, but I have short hair and could not use the barrettes or hair ties. I have a T-dress pattern for myself that I have fine-tuned for a good fit. I do some applique work, but am not sure I have enough patience for a lot of detail work. I have a brain tumor and MS and have to go day by day sometimes. What do you charge for a women's outfit?

Thank You, Crystal Marion

Here is a price guide for the Southern outfits that are complete

August 8 2008, 8:40 AM

The outfits come with a dress, 1/2 shawl fringed with ribbon (these are very common now, and are easy to carry), leggings, purse, earrings, hair ties, choker necklace, longer necklace with a drop, back barrette for your feather, smaller feather drop. Crowns are extra. Real bone for the hair ties and the necklace is extra.

Note: this is just a general guideline. The prices can be LESS, and maybe a little bit MORE, depending on the designs. But this is a good, basic guideline.

Without bone and without the crown - $472

Without bone and with the crown - $552

WITH BONE - $494

With Bone and crown - $574

These prices are for a girl age 12 and older and an average size woman. If the woman wears plus sizes or extra large, the cost will go up because of extra fabric.

By the way, I really like to get real flashy and fancy with those outfits. But I can go plainer if somebody wants that instead. I can also make a plain dress, but all the accessories which will really dress up the plain dress. Plain dresses with NO applique designs are about $150.00 or more, depending on the fabric. You can get a plain dress that has really flashy fabric and add the accessories to keep your cost down and still look just great.

On the other hand, if I need to make a REALLY complicated and time consuming design for the dress, the price for the dress, instead of the usual $250.00 (with designs) will go up to about $300 or $350. My red dress that you see took me a long time to do. It has the same designs on the back as on the front. All my dresses have designs on the back that are the same as the front.

These outfits take a LOT of time to make, even with the applique fabric accessories. But there is no way that you can find outfits like these for these low prices. I may have to raise those prices in a few months. Sorry, but it really does take a lot of time.

I hope this helps some of you decide if you want an outfit like these new Southern ones that have it all. All you are going to need will be a belt, fluff feathers (go to http://www.walela49.com for those), a fan and a pair of mocs. I HIGHLY recommend Reagan for fans and legal feathers for your fluffs and back feathers. She does great work and has great prices.

Then you are ready to pow wow in style!
