Auntie was around 8 years old just like you, when I saw my first Doberman on the newsreel at the movie theater during WW2. The armed services asked for folks to send their dogs "For defense". The brave Marine Dobermans were often featured...that was many years ago though, but guess what...now Auntie has five Dobermans who share her life and they are still my favorite breed!
