nice to hear from you again, but I'm sure sorry about Hector. I would suggest you purchase a vibrator collar and teach him to respond to it like marking behavior. THis way he will have a familiar link to you after he looses his sight. I know it's no consulation, but blind dogs do quite well because of their sense of smell.
