The reason this little Forum was opened up, was to yak about Dobertoons and related subjects of humor, cartoons, and things about Dobermans not usually yakked about on the other forums. But also it was an intention of mine to use it as a vehicle to correspond with folks rather than the tedious email exchange because of the volume of email I receive. But also, it was to be a way for Auntie to say stuff. Whatever. So I'm going to do that.
I've alus made it a strong rule to keep my personal life out of the cartoons & off the internet. But I feel it's only right to 'splain why there have been no cartoons the past few months.lots of emails asking have gone unanswered because I didn't want to talk about the things I'm going to now.
I really felt badly about "Dober'Toons!" being ignored by the centennial, and nearly pulled them because of it. But I finally decided to he** with that, and dropped my membership in the DPCA. The cartoons speak for themselves and still remain one of the most popular Doberman sites on the internet.
In my personal life, one thing after another was tough enough, but late this summer came the real kicker. Cartoon #335's subject will tell you about the reason. I'm mentioning that now, just for general information, and that's the end of it. The cartoons will resume as of now, and hopefully for a long time to come. Woofies, and keep 'tooned, Auntie Dobe R. Mann.

Barks Auntie Dobe R. Mann,
GOL
I made that lingo up ,to keep up with the young texty Dobes lingo out there and it is what i did when Mom read me your post!
We have always thought what an awesome ,Gutsy, accomplished Person that Auntie Dobe R. Mann is and now your approach to your health situation continues to show that! We are all saddened that you must contend with this, but just as certain that you will do it with that truly unique personality that is yours!
Mom thought there must be something up when you did not answer emails, she sez she has a H*#! of a time remembering her login (i think it has something to do with the HRT creams , I see around here!)
Anyways we are not sure what the centennial bisness is all about, BUT anyone who is not delighted to include Auntie's Toons in thier venue is no friend of ours and not worth Auntie's Angst!
I am so sorry you are having some health problem's, so many "speed bumps" in life that just don't seem fair. Sending well wishes for you, I know you are a very strong lady and nothing gets you down. Hugs and prayer's coming your way.
You have brought joy and laughter into so many people's lives and I am sending you positive vibes and hope your strength and humor shines strong again soon.
I thought of you when I was in KY at this years nationals, the t-shirts you designed for DPCA rescue were proudly displayed at the booth and I am sorry that you were not acknowledged at the Centennial in Topeka, a true oversight on the part of the DPCA and Centennial Committee not to recognize what you have done for our breed.
