As for a "Doughboy", our little Dobe-Boy is a take off on that nickname. "Doughboy" is a casual informal term for an American Soldier. Given before the ladies were permitted to serve, it is a male term. But Auntie supposes there could be such a thing as a "Doughgirl"....Hmmmm.
