Howdy once again...I love this pic of StarPuppy. It's not photoshopped, she did hold the Santa
hat and also sat in the chair. his beard lies on the ground. tisk tisk.
Book is on hold until first of the year...Auntie got commissioned to do another oil painting
and that's gonna eat up any spare time.
The darn book material has to be camera ready, and luckily I have did the toons in 75% of original size so they are perfect. But I have to write the text... Also I had to get the program to do the cds as that's the way I'll submit the material. There will be 200 cartoons, my favorites, and nearly all black and white, as color is too 'spensive. The cover will be color, and I'm planning to use the dancing Dobermans. I guess the title will be "DoberToons!" but any of you folks who have an opinion for a subtitle such as "The Doberman's funny bone", would be welcomed. It will be hardbound too. The publisher seems to think it will be worthwhile, I do too if the right folks find it. I'm always a tad surprised at the number of Doberman owners who aren't aware of the 'toons...not that they are so "hot" these days, but just from the standpoint of interest in the breed when they get a puppy/dog.
So hopefully I can find time to return to doing the toons once again. It's been suggested that they are passe', but I think not. After all, Mickey is 9000 years old, and Marmaduke, is still going strong...and the Dobe is still a very well liked pooch for folks...Regardless, I'm really
looking forward to doing this book. I"m really enthused because even though the toons haven't been updated for some time, there are still numbers tooning in from new discoverers. ANd the cartoons aren't easy to find unless you do a search directly naming them. I will keep them going for a long time, There's too much hard work and $ involved to just delete them. I just can't do that...they're ALIVE I tell you...ALIVE!
Keep 'tooned, Have a great holiday, the rest is yet to come
