Erm..by Unseen (no login)
It's the way i was shown by my teacher (proabally his preferred way) and i have not looked at fstream yet.
I figure as there is not a great deal of code, a complete rewrite might be in order as i have learnt a lot over the last few days thanks mostly to you and a couple of tutorials i found. C++ for dummies has 6 pages on File i/o...not a very good referance.
I will report back when i get my new code up and running. I really appreciate all the help, if theres anything i can do for you (i doubt i can do anything you cant )please let me know.
