My name is Pavle Tepavcevich and I am an American-Serb. My great-grandfather was from Krstac, Crna Gora. Krstac borders Herzegovina near Bobotovo Groblje and Gacko. The whole region of where Tepavcevici is from has the border of Herzegovina and Crna Gora running right through the middle of it. Please help me and let me know what clan comes from this region. Thanks!!!!!!!

Translantion bellow

Tepavèeviæ, Oborište (Meka Gruda), Bileæa, branch of Baæeviæ, from Donjih Banjana (Nikšiæ). From them are Zeèeviæ in Nevesinje (Hercegovina); Viš, Mijokusoviæ and Martiniæ (in Bjelopavliæi). From them one group is in Vratkoviæ (Gacko), and from there, some are in Bobutovo Groblje (Golija), Nikšiæ; in Trajna up next to (Gacko) passed from Èeraða (Golija), Nikšiæ; Velimlje (Nikšiæ), branch of Orloviæ.

The clan of that area appears to be Banjani

Thanks zetaman for the info. Also know that my family comes from Pavle Orlovich and heard his sons belonged to the cuca clan. It is hard to find out the truth about this since people move around and borders change over the years. At least I know most of my roots. My djedo told me once that after God created the world, He stood on top the mountains in Crna Gora to admire His creation....... Thanks again TEPAVCEVICI........

Fala Cetinjanin, Govorim samo malo srpsko. I think when you said " Tvoj djedo deklarisa ka crnogorac a ne serb, ako je iz cuca" , it translates to " Your djedo declares himself to be crnogorac and not a serb, if he is from cuca. I was taught to say that a different way. Please tell me how bad my American-Serb dialect is. My serbian must sound bad to you. I am 3rd generation in America and modern serbian language sounds and speaks differently than the American dialect of serbian. I think the dialect I learned was from a long time ago. When my predjedo came to America he spoke the Serbian of 1907 and serbian kept evolving over in Yugo and not here. It just sounds so different at times, like a different language. Most of the time I can't even understand our priest at church or relatives that come over for a visit. They say my family speaks " hill billy serbian "..........Pavle

Ovo ti je naslovna strana sajta

http://www.ellisisland.org/

http://www.montenegro.org.au/T.html

It`s a trick of serb nationalist.

OK

So remember one thing!
Serb clans doesnt exist! There is only montenegrin clans.
Like Scots and English.
Scots have clans, English no.
There is no clans in Šumadija, Maèva, Kosovo, Južna Srbija ...

Montenegrin and Serbs are difrent nation, like zou can se from historical map.

I do understand. I always thought that. But here in America there are Serbs and Croations. Not many old " Yugoslavians " taught us that. You were either Orthodox ( Serbian ) or Catholic ( Croation, Slovenian ) and that was it. I will teach my daughters Anastasija and Sofija that their last name is Crnogorac and to be very proud of it and to be proud also of their mother who is Polish. She converted to Orthodox so we can get married. I guess that makes her a Crnogorca. Dovidjenja!
