3 week old orphan foal needs a mum

Copied over from another forum.

My mare suddenly died today without known reason and has left a 3 week old filly.
If anyone knows of a mare who has recently lost a foal please contact the national foaling bank or me in person.
I am currently feeding her every 2 hours.
Any advice would be appreciated.

They are based in Kent.

Oh dear. That's two 3 week babies needing a mum. The other one, a Shetland colt, is in Hampshire.

I have come across an advert for a 36" shetland mare who has lost a foal, who may be a suitable foster mare - sadly not suitable for my colt foal, whom Normansir mentions.

If anyone is interested, let me know & I can pass on the details.
