Can anyone help with operational history of the Flakpanzer 4 Mobelwagen.I have the Tamiya version with the 20mm four barrel canon. The only info I have found said it was only a experimental type. Any feed back would be welcomed.Thanks.

Hi Ian,

Its a weird one to be sure. It appears Tamiya built the prototype Moblewagen without much research, but did issue their great 3.7mm Moblewagen some years later. The 20mm quad version was never a production vehicle.
The 20mm vehicle was notable because of the lower armoured shields.

However, we have seen a photograph showing what appears to be the 20mm quad style armour on a 3.7mm armed version (11th Panzer in France) so the model you have could be used to make that. Or just make it as it is and have it in a Versuch FLAK unit with a kugleblitz or the like?

Lastly could you please use your full name when posting as per the site rules? Many thanks Jon.
