Response to Jagdtiger No.2 "Sunny Boy" from 653 KG Ybbs River Austria 3 May 1945 - Part 1

Sadly only a quick update as didn't get much time on it tonight afterall;

Rough handles on the floor bins which with a bit of dirt and crud on the floor will hopefully not be too obvious;

Cut 2 small sections of balsa and drllled them with a 1/8 bit to house the last of the Armorscale projectiles which were left over from the other one;

Made up the wire ring retainers for them using a basic jig. They should be 3 deep but given the limited number of shells I had, the gloom and the tight fit I cut them back to 2 more to hint at them than be 100% right. The jig is simply two bits of .80 thou styrene rod glued into a scrap of balsa wood. The wire is simply looped around the first, then the second, then back down the other side again with a dab of glue needed on the first ring and the last side to keep them parallel. Rough but should be effective enough hopefully;

Little bit of detail added to the front & RHS walls with a bit more to do;

Pretty much finished FC floor, ammo racks & gun/mount;

So a tiny bit more for the RH wall and P&D discs for the back ends of the cases etc. and paint shouldn't be far off...
