I have Dragon 3-1 Tiger I (6406) and after purchasing zimmerit version of the same tank, i tought why not build K.O. tank from that older kit. So, here's photo

And now i'm wondering what parts i use from that 3-1 kit, since there's two options for turret roof and commander's cupola? Gun shield is quite obvious, as it is shown in photo. What about color scheme, Panzer Colors 3 succests yellow base with green camouflage color.

3-1 options are late, late command and final version.

Any information greatly appreciated.

PS: for clarification, i'm going to put zimmerit for that 6406 so that is not an issue.

Hi I was just looking at this photo in Tigers in combat 2 , you will find that this Tiger has zimmerit ,you might as well use the new version or the 6406 and apply your own zimmerit maybe in a tattered appearence ..

Hi Eloranta! The one piece 40mm roof without the weld seam and 'pilze' crane jib sockets, is the part for this Tiger,

the stowage is standard and not the command option. Which ATAK set are you opting for? As the damaged set has the better pattern, especially if you are wanting to build the 1./s.SS.PZ.-Abt. 101's Tiger in the posted image. Turret numerals for this Tiger usually were given as 121, but over on 'Tiger im Focus' the team have revised this to 111.

The camoflage was three tone Dark Yellow, Red Brown and Dark/Mid Green (I'll leave the choice of manufacturer and particular tones up to you, as opions truly differ on this subject)

Here is my take upon the pattern of 111's sister 112, the 1st Kompanie utilised a heavier broader pattern of camo than the 2nd Kompanie who tended to spray their Tigers with thinner wispy stripes.

Thanks, this really helps a lot Commander cupola is another mystery, should i use part wich has drainage channels or one without? It seems that in picture is one without but not quite sure... Atak zimmerit is indeed damaged version, since i tought it would be best suited this project anyway. Not sure if i'm going to put any numbers on tank, they don't seem to be visible in pictures (burnt away or whatever...).

Hi again Elantora! Sorry about missing the question on the cupola, for this Tiger the cupola without the drainage channels is the one. The one with drainage 'slits' was a very late production modification, seen on the last Late Tiger 1's from June '44' to termination of production in favour of the Tiger B in August '44'. I am really looking forwards to seeing your Tiger when completed, it is one of my favourite images of a Tiger 1, '111' sat amongst the debris on the Rue Pastur within Villers Bocage.

Ok, thanks again I'll post some pictures once the project is in more complete stage, this one is going to be almost straight from the box build ( minus Atak zimmerit and some magic tracks from fellow modeller ).
