Hello everyone! I have just discovered this great site, this is my first post.
I am currently building Tamiya's panzer iv ausf h (early and without zimmerit) but have decided not to do a Kursk vehicle as I have recentlty tackled a Kursk subject recently.
I was wondering how long the life span of the early h would have been before units were replaced with upgraded vehilces with zimmerit etc. Would there have still been early h varients amongst units in late 44/early 45?
I read that some ausf h vehicles were delivered to Hungary and Romania since they had become 'obsolete'.
I was planning to depict a relatively used vehicle in retreat late in the war.
