I haven't found the Pinnacle NG very helpful so far. I thought I'd like to try here with THE problem:

I've just purchased a DC10+ card with v1.04 software on CD. I've also d/l v1.06.

Immediately after installing drivers 1.04, then Studio software, then v1.06 on a clean system (no previous Pinnacle stuff), I get a bunch of error messages that go like this:

-------------
Studio DC10+
Mv-ctrl has caused an error in MISICI.DLL
Mv-ctrl will now close.
-------------

When this dialog is closed, this message appears:

-------------
Mdricon has caused an error in MISICI.DLL
Mdricon will now close.
-------------

When I attempt to open Studio, I get this message:

-------------
Studiodc
An error has occurred in your program
-------------

When I close this dialog I get:

-------------
Studiodc caused an error in MISICI.DLL
Studiodc will now close
-------------

My BE6 PCI slots are occupied as follows:

1 - empty
2 - SoundBlaster Live Value
3 - empty
4 - DC10+
5 - empty

The DC10+ uses IRQ7
Memory Range: D6400000 - D640000F
No conflicts.

My codecs are:
-------------------------------
Cinepak (TM)
Indeo (TM) R3.1
Indeo (TM) R3.2
Indeo video 5.04
Intel Indeo Video 4.4 (IV41)
Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec v1
Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec v3
RLE
Studio DC10plus, Motion JPEG Capture/Codec Board (MJPG)
VDOnet VDOWave Video Codec
Video1
-------------------------------

My system:

PC: WindowsME, Abit BE6 mobo, Celeron @ 700Mhz, 384Mb SDRam, Matrox Millennium G200 graphics card, GadgetLabs Wave/4 ISA audio card, Creative SBLive Value PCI audio, Pinnacle DC10+ video, Prem 6, fast HDs.

The DC10+ has its own IRQ 7 - no sharing.

Any ideas *much* appreciated - thanks!
