I'm not a veteran or anything, just a daughter trying to find out what I missed out on. You see, my dad died when I was a year and a half. He was in the Marines and stationed in Japan when he met my mother. He was shipped out when they found out she was pregnant with my oldest brother. She didn't see or hear from him for over two years. Well, he showed back up, but now as an Airman. So, I know that he dropped a rank to switch to the Airforce to get back to Japan, but that's pretty much it. My mom and he did marry, and they had another son born somewhere near Mt Fuji, and then came to the states. This is where I came in at. Well, he was shipped back here due to health problems, but I don't know much more. My mom told less and less as the years went by, I guess it never stops hurting. Well, his name was Eugene "Gene" Cavanaugh. I know its a long shot, but to ust find out a little bit about him, would make my day.

Thanks,

Cavanaugh
