We left out of San diego aboard the U.S.S. Telfair APA 210. Was supposed to make Yokahama in 15 days.. Hit typhoon at sea and 19.5 days later we ported in Yokahama.. Picked us up in 6bys and trucked us the 45 miles down to Yokosuka and on out to McGill..When I reported in, we still had a bunch of K.V.s who had brought the tracs back from Korea. They stayed with us for what seemed about 2 months and then we were on our own.. Used to water drive down to Nagahai Beach. Also had some beach parties down there. Had that good??? Blue Ribbon Beer that UNCLE gave to us.. HAH Used to go up to Yokohama and Tokyo on the train . wasn't a bad trip for back then.. Also used to go down to Kamakura.. Interesting place.. Manuvered to Okinawa and Iwo Jima while there. Welcome to add anything to this post.. RAY
