Iwakuni 1956-1558

I got to Iwakuni about six weeks brfore the 1StMAW moved in. We setup the barracks. I fell in love with Japan and the people. I was in the Marine Air Control Squadron don't remenber the number. I 1962-1963 was at Atsugi. Went to Iwakuni for a weekend in 1963 and visited with old Japanese friends. Summer of 2007 returned to Iwakuni to find old friends after 47 years. My friends had moved from Iwakuni but did find them and had a nice visit. Planning to return Summer2008 and stay for 2 months.
