Does anyone have the contact info for Sgt. Richard A. Rasmussen? My computer crashed, and I lost a lot of my contact info...I would appreciate it...or if you read this post Dick, please send me an email.
In my last post I mentioned that I was working with a local TV station in Gifu City to help with a project they were doing on the history of Camp Gifu, and Naka-cho. The crew came to my home, and we had a good visit for two days. I had a ton of photos that Dick had sent me, and a lot of memorabilia from those days. They video tapped our conversations, and sent me a copy of the resulting TV program on DVD. It is all in Japanese (except for the two of us they interviewed) our responses are in English. I was surprised to see what the area looked like today...the old cement bridge that we had to cross to get to the "Cross Over The Bridge Bar" is still there, and surprisingly without much change. Because the voice over is in Japanese I do not know what I am looking at much of the time, and they included a lot of the photos I sent them of the camp, and the village. I have tried to make copies of the DVD using a few different programs, but so far have just wasted a lot of DVD disks. |
