Arrived Japan Oct.'55 on the Breckenridge. Went to G Co. 3rd Bn at
middle camp. I was there until the Bn. moved out in '56 to go to the
middle east. Us shortimers were sent to south camp to wait for the boat
ride home. I was 17 when I got there and about 40 when I left. God I
loved it. I went on vacation in '85 and took a side trip to middle
camp. The JNs let me come aboard and take photos of one of the old
barracks the was still standing. These guys had no idea Marines were
ever there let alone the History of the Camps. When I started telling
them they asked me to leave. di-****in-jobi. Semper Fi.
