Anybody have the correct name/spelling of the above song?
If so, please let me know.
With the correct spelling/name, I can likely find it on a midi-- web search for downloading to this site, and/or at least link it here.
Thanx
Dick

Believe it or not - I downloaded this about 4 years ago. Remember Eri Cheimi who sang Lover Come Back To Me. I've got several recordings from that era - mostly from Japanese music stores in New York City when I lived there in the mid 80's.

Just ran across your posting re your mp3 copy of Shina no Yoru. I've spent of lot of years in Japan and the rest of Asia (37 years to be exact) and am now living back in Japan. Would really love to have an mp3 copy of it if you wouldn't mind Emailing a copy to me. Best regards, Dan Cooley, USMC 1957-1968

Robert, if you still have a copy of the Shirley Yamaguchi's China Nights, I would love an email copy of the MP3. My Dad was stationed in Korea, while my mother and I, were in Japan.
It is their favorite song and I would love to give it to them as a gift.
Many thanks.

Mary, if you have any luck obtaining a good copy, would you please forward it to me? There is a musical copy on a Seabee web site ,(www.weblube.com),under R&R in Japan, but it is bit too oriental for my liking. Thanks,Harry

I have been looking for this song for many years. I did not know its title, and just remembered the melody.
It's a song from my childhood, when Viet-Nam was occupied by Japan (1940-46). (I am a Vietnamese, but am living in France since 1956). It took my family 2 years to leave Viet-Nam, after French Army lost Dien Bien Phu battle (1954).
I found its title by Google search: I just remembered, phonetically ''Shina no yoru'', and did not what it means.
I was still looking for the original version, when I found your message on the Internet.
I would like to ask you for sending me MP3 attachment, if possible..
My story is very simple: On the other side of the street, in Hanoi, I remember there was Japanese barracks...and, while there was so many poeple starving, the Japanese soldiers granted me sugar and rice, from time to time.. Still now, I don't understand why. But it helped my mother a lot.
Thanks in advance, and best regards.
