When I went to Japan in 57 the movie Sayonara had just released and I was smitten by Japan and the movie. Shipped over to return to Japan and ended up staying 22 years to find out if I liked it or not. I am looking for the vocal version on the song sayonara. does anyone have a clue where it could be found? I remember it went no more we see pretty cherry blossoms and thats about it.

Since Sayonara was a yankee song, written for a yankee movie, its unlikely that you will find a Japanese recording of it. Suggest you get of copy of the flick which is on VHS. If you can't find a copy there, let me know and I'll look around Honoruru;--ah!--gomen!--Honolulu.
