After finding (through disassembly a few years ago) that my Citizen balance-wheel electronic watch has this quickset system, I searched for others like it, and came up empty. Another interesting aspect of this same caliber (7803) is that the reset button at 8 not only resets the second hand to 60 when depressed, but if the minute hand is within 4 minutes plus or minus of 60, it will reset the minute hand to 60 as well. So perhaps there have always been those obsessed with having the correct time all the time. Here are the instructions I found, but beyond the pictures it is of little use to me. Did you find official instructions in English? If so, I'd be interested in seeing them. BTW, the large quickset lever stays out of the way of the day and date indicators until the crown is depressed, so there is no danger of it accidentally quick-setting until the crown is depressed. Thanks for posting, I did not know that this same calendar system was used by Citizen in automatic calibers as well, though it seems the two caliber numbers are close (7700 and 7803). Perhaps they were developed during the same period.
