Let me address a few things

This is rather typical of the OPMA.

Firstly, CHIROPODY is Ontario's chosen foot care specialists. We are the only regulated college. Podiatrists ARE chiropodists in Ontario. Legislatively, they happen to be a sub-class of chiropodists. So for the OSC's vision statement to state that Chiropodists are the primary foot specialists in Ontario is 100% accurate.

Secondly, Peter neglected to mention in his OSC-bashing post the real reason why the OSC withdrew from joint agreement: Their rep refused to sign the all of the terms of the agreement. In fact, their rep undermined the OSC by unilaterally going to the Michener and telling them that they will no longer have a program for chiropody. Not only was this an antagonistic action against a major stakeholder, but it also served to add further strain to an already tense relationship between the Michener and the OSC. It was the same political game that they've always played. What I will give them is that the pods support the OPMA, despite paying 3-4 times more in fees.

As for Joe's commentary, if you want to talk about the OSC's 20 yr history, how about we look at the OPMA's 75 yr history. They talk about furthering the education, but where is Ontario's Podiatry school? In fact, all they've been able to achieve in their 75 yrs is to keep the status quo. In fact they've managed to get their profession capped! Do you really think that the 85 or so pods who have access to $5.7 million in OHIP billings have any real desire to get that cap lifted? Talk about hyprocrisy! Talk about talking the talk, but not walking the walk.

I won't even dignify the second part of your commentary. You obviously have too much time on your hands.
