"channeling"
It was assumed that the writer was addressing Canadian readers.
We use the more advanced Oxford English Dictionary here in Canada.
"Channeling" is therefore spelled with an extra "L" -"Channelling" .
Webster's dictionary is a U.S. publication (circa 1780-ish perhaps?) it was first produced (by Mr.Webster) as a reaction to British English .
Since then (like U.S. podiatry and weak beer), the rest of the world hasn't bought into this. Canada is no exception.
Mind you. Americans do produce exceptionally delicious hamburgers made of B.S.E. free American raised beef and decadent Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
