... there was a terrorist attack in NYC somewhere aroun 9 AM EST this morning. Four planes were Hijacked, the first crashed into the world trade center, and the second crashed into the second tower and both of them collapsed with everyone (including the rescue workers who went in after the first crash) inside.

The third hit the Pentagon and collapsed part of that, the fourth crashed in Pittbrugh after all planes were told to land. (It probably decided it couldn't get to its original destination and crashed)

My prayers are out to the families of those who were lost, and to anyone here who has loved ones in that area. This was a horrible, tragic, unecessary act of violence. We will be here for anyone who needs comforting in this time of loss. (my office is always open! Feel free to e-mail me)

i am shocked, angry, and willing too see any terroist group that wants to claim that they planned this. Too be punished with the same degree of finality that they inflicted on our Country and our Allies. that said, my prayers are with not only those people that were hurt in the attacks and their family members. but also every other person who is afriad of the safety of themselves and the ppl they care about.

...the Somerset plane crashed about 2 hours away from my house. But i'm all safe and sound, and praying that God will help everyone through this, everyone..have faith.

This has been one of the most scary things that has ever happened. I was in homeroom when my teacher turned on the tv and we watched. That was at about 930. We prayed all day for the people. You see I live in Boston and for those of you who don't know, both planes that flew into the WTC were flying from Boston to LA. (american airlines and united airlines planes) My friend's sister is a flight attendant for American Airlines and flew out of Boston this morning so we were really worried because we didnt know where she was going. She ended up actually flying to Nerw Jersey and from the runway could see the planes crash into the WTC. Boston is in a state of fear right now as we are not sure how much time the terrorists spent in Boston and there have been some bomb threats called in. Though luckily none of them have turned out correct. Everything is closed here. Busses are free and others were being used to transport people out of the city. Traffic is horrible. It's horrible. They are talking about going to war which worries me because my brother is 19 and all his friends are that age and older as well as my friends who are 17 and up. They are close to draft age. My brother almost joined the ROTC too. These terrorists used our own airplanes and our own people against us. I dont know who said it but someone said, "No one can terrorize our country without the help of the people of our country" Scary huh I hope everyone and their families are all right. My prayers are with everyone.

I was also in homeroom, this guy came in and said "A plane just flew between the Twin Towers and now they're gonna fal down," I have to say, I didn't believe him until an annocement came on. We weren't allowed to watch tv, tho. Even though I live all the way down here, we weren't allowed to go outside for atheletics. I live near Ft. Worth, which builds military supplies, so they decided it was best not to do anything. I also live near DFW, where my dad was working, so he knows just about everything going on(my dad works for Customs)

My uncle just moved from NYC a year ago, he worked across the street from the WTC, and the building is pro destryoed now. I'm SOOO glad he decided to move!!

My semi-friends dad was in the Pentagon when the crash occured there, he wasn't hurt. He called C's mom, then C called her mom to make sure her dad was ok. Luckily he wasn't in the part that was hit. Even tho we have had out differences in the past, I was really worried about her da!

I just pray that nothing else happens.

Silver Rose you can count me present!!!Also,That plane that crashed in PA was in Johnstown PA I guess about 20 miles from Pittsburg PA.I Live in Frackville PA,I heard about this while I was at work.I had never felt so worried in my life.This was a true tragedy,It should of never happened.My heart and prayes will be going out to the families and the people of New York,The Pentagon and Pittsburg PA.Anyone from this Forum I hope you are all doing fine.Like Silver said It's time for Roll Call!!!!!May God Be with us all.

I can't believe that someone would be that cruel and kill people by doing that. One of my teachers have a saying that when you do something really bad, you get a hole punched in your go to hell free card and I think those people just got so many holes punched today that there is no way to redeem themselves.

And if that wasn't bad, my mom told me today that on the news, they were showing kids in Palestine (or Pakistan. A P place) who were being handed candy by the government saying it was good for that to happen to America.

My prayers and thoughts go out to all who lost someone and for everyone who was involved.

some people that are indirectly connected to me were in those towers.

My friend's friend's cousin was in one of the towers at the time and they havent heard from him yet.

My mom's friend's sister was in the second tower to be hit and was on the phone with my mom's friend at the time, the last thing she said before the phone went dead was "Don't worry, it happened to the one next to us." They haven't heard from her since.

And then the bombings in Afghanistan . . . all I can think of right now are that we are all lucky and I feel horrible for those who have died. One of the scouts for the Edmonton Oiler's Hockey Team was on the first flight I think and he is dead now.

It's all so sad, I feel horrible for all those who died

I was waiting outside my class when my friends came up and told me that two planes hit the WTC. Before I knew it was a terrorist attack I was thinking how somebody could be so dumb as to miss the towers, but when I got home and started watching (for the rest of the day) that's when I heard about the rest. This is very scary because we might go to war. I'm supposed to read about this kind of history not live it. I live in Florida and I have no family up there that I know of so everything is okay down here. I hope everyone else is well and that if they have family up there their family is safe.

Mr Bavidson was a scout from the LA Kings flying with a former Boston Bruin (from way back in the Bobby Orr glory days) and he was on one of the Boston flights to LA. Unfortunately he was my brothers hockey coach a few years back. It's horrible. I did not know him too well but of course my brother did. It's really sad.

But they said something about the Oilers on the news here in Edmonton. His name was like Ace . . .? Unfortunatly I don't know much about Hockey but I know he was Canadian and stuff.

He was an Edmonton Oiler, we're talkin about 2 diff people. Mr. Ace Bailey was with the Edmonton Oilers quite a while ago.
