Yup, he's a year old now. You're finding that hard to believe?! This year has gone sooo fast, it's getting hard for me to hang on to the time when he was small enough for me to just hold him really close and snuggle with him. He only wants to snuggle now when he's tired or not feeling good. He's been walking for just over a month now and he's on the go constantly! He throws a fit if you try to hold him down.
He's also very headstrong (Gee, I wonder where he got THAT from!

). This morning he almost did a header off his changing table and got mad at me for catching him before he hit the floor. He started complaining (in that whiney style kids do before they can actually talk) while I was getting his diaper changed and getting him dressed. He continued as we went in to say goodbye to daddy. He then threw a big ole hissy fit when I put his coat on him because I wanted him to stand up and he didn't want to. He continued that fit until I started driving the car to the sitter's.
Don't get me wrong. Overall, he's very good boy. He doesn't cry a lot and he sleeps through the night (98% of the time anyway). He also eats whatever I put in front of him (for the most part). He's not that picky. He just has his times when he's got it in his head what he wants to do and he's going to do it no matter what you do to stop him. (All kids have their times like that though). He also laughs at you when you tell him "no". I'm trying to break him of that but so far nothing I've done has worked.
We've got some recent pictures of him that I'm hoping my husband will use to update Christopher's website. I'll let you know when he does so you can take a look at how big he is now. (He certainly doesn't look like a one-year old...he's bigger than a couple of two-year olds he plays with at the sitter's!). He's not fat. He's just a big boy. And (I'm being biased again) he's sooooo cute!!!
