Did you ever notice that every time someone joined the Academy, they were convinced they were the best and the be all and end all?
Herc - "What am I going to learn here, how to pull a chariot?"
Yvenna - "Does it look like I need any help?"
Nyus Gyus - "I'm going to be the new top student there!"
Lilith - well, she won the daccuda, so maybe she is the best. Plus the guys left right away, so we didn't get to see if she was strutting around at first. But she definitely hat the attitude to do some serious strutting.
Pythagorus - "I've been studying with private tutors for years."
Theseus - "You're teaching these water babies how to fight?"
Nothing like Cheiron to take an ego down a peg or two. ^_^
LOL! How true:)
I also notice how when many are new,you also see them at Kora's showing off.Wonder how many she's took down a peg or too as well?

Not Theseus though... pity. He knew the right way to charm her so that he didn't incur her wrath. ^_^

Bah, Kora

I didn't like her character much. She always seemed too...rude. Anything anyone did never seemed to be good enough for her especially my poor Iolie. But at least she wasn't as mean as Eurydice (You can argue that she wasn't mean but she was. I think I disliked her character more than any other on the show - even Bacchus and Lilith and everyone knows how Lilith can't act and was my second to least favorite).

Kora...

I liked the actress, and I have some other stuff she was in, so shrugs gotta make a token protest. There were several times when she was very rude, but then again all the girls were on the rude side - I usually just chalk it down to playing in the men's world. Inn keepers and warriors were tradionally male positions, so a woman in that job had to be strong-willed. Plus, Kora's was the nearest dining place near the Academy, so I highly doubt Iolaus was the only one to hit on her - most if not all of the guys at the Academy, plus passing strangers, probably tried at least once. So she's probably lost her patience long before Iolaus tried his luck.
Was watching the first ep againg, and was wondering when Kora did move in - it was obviously an old enough place that Herc&Iolaus and Jason could arrainge to meet there (unless they were planning to meet at 'that new place' ^_~), but new enough that the guys either had never met Kora or hadn't yet realized she was the owner. And there's that issue of what happened that she wound up as a devote of Artemis. It's been a while since I've seen Golden Bow, but I don't think it's ever fully explained, so whatever it was could be a major reason why she has such an attitude.
