Here's an Idea

I know around here once you get a bike you can go to the sheriff office nearby and they offer lessons. It's around $50 or something but they teach you some neat stuff. One of my friends went through it and said they taught him how to handle your bike on ice, water, and alongside an 18 wheeler so you don't wipe out because of the wind thing.

Check them out and see. If they say no, just ask if they know of anywhere nearby that offers them.

Aww...

I know my dad rides a motorcycle (which...is that the same thing as a motorbike? or am I getting my European slang wrong?) and for years he never rode with anything but a helmet. Which...is totally legal, but not very smart- especially where I live since the roads are so bad! So after we moved into our new house, he found these motorjackets online. They protect your arms at the elbows and the shoulder, your back, and your front side. They have mesh ones for summer and closed up ones for the winter. They also sell protective pants, too.

Now, it won't protect you from complete injury, and riding a motorized 2-wheeled vehicle isn't the safest way to get around (and remember, even the most experienced people can crash and burn!) but I'll have to agree, it's SO fun.

Be careful from now on, dearie! And here's the website! http://www.joerocket.com/jrf/home.cfm And as a note, they're expensive, but I think safety is much more important!

Feel better!
