Now that I have your attention, I would like to interest everyone in playing a little game of bagball. We won't have to keep score *turns toward Iolaus* And no, you cannot score by hitting it off of someone's head like last time! I think poor Lilith still has a bruise on her head from that!

So we are going to try to have at least two teams. One will be Hercules and Iolaus while the other one will have Jason and Lilith. That way I think it will be fair. No team can have more than 7 players though because then one team might have way too many players than another one. Everyone understand?

*Iolaus's hand shoots up* No, I do not really have good food Iolaus! It was just to get your attention. *his hand goes down*

Okay, play a game of bagball now! Remember, only 7 players per team (unlimited fans though!) and you have to write in first person without hitting it off of someone's head. Okay? Now let's go play!

"I'm on Hercules' and Iolaus' team!" I said, walking over to the two boys. "We need four more people for the team. Who else is with us?"

Okay, it's short, I know, but you can't really say much when the teams aren't even together yet.

Saphira looked up from her fish and feta popovers and started to ask a question.
"Can I..."
Celest cut her off. "No Saphira, you cannot play. We've seen you play sports before. You hurt people."
Saphira shrugged and grinned. "So I get a little too excited."
Eurydice groaned. "A little? How many windows have you broken from your shots that don't always go straight? How many feet have you stepped on? How many goalies (do they have goalies in bagball?) have you nearly killed?"
Saphira shrugged again. "So I'm no athlete. Since I'm not wanted, I'll be the offical score and time keeper."

"Hey!" Alayia said, standing up, "I'll play! I'll be with Herc and Iolaus."
"Have you ever played before, Alayia?" Iolaus asked.
"Er, well, no, but I've seen you play it before," she answered.
"At least you know the rules," Hercules joshed.
"Hey," Iolaus said, defending himself, "I heard nothing in the rules about hitting people on the head and making it a goal illegal."
"Now, we're violating it," Celest reminded him, "Anyone else?"

I'm sure ya'll can figure out which team I'll be on too! (I love "Ialous'" smile! Don't tell him that!)

GAbriella stepped over next to Celest and asked who was going to be on the other team!

"I'll gladly be on Jason's team," said Casche, smiling at Jason. You could hear other cadets whispering "flirt!" under their breath.

"Casche, no powers," said Celest.

"Uh, no fair!" Casche stuck her tounge out at Celest.

"Anyone else wanna join me, Lilith, and Casche?" asked Jason.

"Can I play?" Neila asked coming up behind her brother.

"Sure," Jason said, smiling at her. "You're going to be on my team, right?"

"Well, I thought I'd be on Herc and Iolaus's team," Neila confessed. "I mean, Herc is my brother and Iolaus is my...well..." Neila started to blush.

"Yeah," Iolaus agreed, "I'm her..." He turned toward Neila. "I'm your what?"

"Uhm...friend," Neila suddenly shouted out. "You're my friend."

"Am I not your friend too?" Jason asked, wondering what the demi-goddess was getting at.

"Yes, you are," Neila stammered. "You both are."

"Well then, who's team are you going to be on?" Hercules asked his sister.

Neila looked from one team to the other. "I don't know," Neila finally said.

"I know a way to settle this," Lilith piped up. "You and Herc are both demi-gods. You should be on our team, Neila. That way things will be a little more even."

"No way!" Iolaus protested. "We want her on our team!"

"Well, you both can't have her," Saphira interjected. "I suggest that you flip a coin. Whoever wins the toss gets Neila for their team."

"That seems fair," Lilith said before either Iolaus or Jason could protest again. "Anybody got a dinar?"

"I do," Eurydice offered.

Saphira took the coin and turned toward Hercules. "You call it in the air." She tossed the coin.

"Heads," Hercules called.

Saphira caught the coin and layed it on her arm. "OK," she said, "Herc called heads." She took her hand off the coin. "It's heads," she announced. "Neila is on Herc and Iolaus's team." She turned toward Jason. "Sorry about your luck, princey."

"Tell you what, Jas," Neila said. "Next time I'll be on your team, OK?"

Jason looked at her and gave her a small smile, finding it hard to stay mad at the charming demi-goddess. "OK," he agreed. "But I'm holding you to that."

Alisia walked up to the group of cadets. She was just getting back from putting her bags in her new bunk, so she didn't know what really was going on.
"What's up???" she asked her new friends.
"A bagball game," Celest answered.
"Bagball?"
"Yup," Eurydice answered, "Bagball. Uh, er, Neila'll explain the rules."
Quickly shooting Eurydice a 'don't you ever do that to me again' glance, Neila said to the new commer, "The objective is to get the ball in the other team's goal. There are two teams. The captains this time are Lilith and Jason on one team and Hercules and Iolaus on the other."
"I'll be on Jason's team," Alisia said.
"Finally," Jason sighed, "We got another team member, guys!"
"All right!" Lilith exclaimed, "We'll wipe the floor with you guys!"
"Anybody else?" Saphira questioned.

"Peeps?" Neila and Hercules questioned, giving each other that look that only siblings understand.

"Uh, yeah," Eurydice stammered. "It's something I heard. Slang for people. Never mind."

"Well?!" Alayia said, picking up where Eurydice left off. "Anyone else?!"
