Although the dials of the Principio LE and the standard Principio are similar, but not identical, this is the extent of the similarities between these 2 watches.

The Principio PUW LE had a unique polished special alloy Titanium case, used a Vintage NOS PUW German made movement, and was made from 100% German parts. There were only 42 made.

The Principio Flieger is steel, ( or matte Titanium) has an Swiss ETA movement, and I believe either the hands or crystal comes from Switzerland as well.

I can assure you that there was never any intent to deceive you into thinking that we would be bringing a similar watch - as we think of these as 2 entirely different models.

Also, as excellent as the English is at the factory, this is not their native tongue, and sometimes there can be slight misunderstandings in communication.

We only made 42 of the LE, and demand far exceeded supply. We had no need to 'push' these watches, and indeed had a distributor in a foreign country, where LE's are very popular, asked to take the last 20. I encouraged Mr. Ickler to make these watches available to a wider clientele, and he agreed.

Again , I'm sorry if you felt that there was any intent to deceive, but I can definatively state, in my 5 years in working with Limes, and knowing Thomas Ickler on a close personal basis, that this is not the way they do business.

Our customers are our best salespeople, and we would never be so short sighted as to think primarily about the sale of one watch, based on any type of misrepresentation, as it could lead, like it possibly has with you, to an unhappy customer.

I apologize if there was a misunderstanding, but trust me, based on my experience, it was nothing more than this.

Best regards,

Steven Walker - Limes Watches
