I appreciate you taking the time to write me.
I am for the most part in agreement with what you contend to be differences in these models. This is ironic due to the content of my communications with Limes BEFORE I purchased the watch. In my communication with the folks at Limes, I requested a basic steel case, average eta movement and that the key issue for me was the dial with the dramatic - and very appealing color contrasts. I specifically said that I did NOT need a limited edition, unique movement or saphire crystals - I specifically asked if there was a plan to make a cheaper, similar model that had all of the great look, with a solid Ickler case that would be more readilly available for everyone. Mr. Ickler assured me that there was no plan to produce such a watch, and that if I wanted anything like it (i.e. the black dial with accents) I would have to go with the limited edition, although lo and behold that is nearly identical to what has now been produced in larger numbers at lower prices. I sincerely hope that you can appreciate that to me THIS is the heart of the matter.
This probably wouldn't have even seemed like such a variation from standard operating procedures, except that both yourself AND Mr. Ickler are usually very forthright and direct with both potential and present customers. You have been very up-to-date and honest about the development of the power reserve model, and others, and I can only presume that my somewhat disatisfying experience is not the norm, but a rather unhappy mishap in an otherwise very smooth history of customer service.
I am more than ready to accept that there was clearly a misunderstanding, and I appreciate your contention that this was completely un-intentional. Furthermore I do appreciate your taking the time to respond, and your willingness to leave this on the forum. If nothing else it does demonstrate an open mind, and a willingness to give all of us a chance to be heard, and an honest and sincere effort to treat your customers with respect and fairness - thank you again!
I remain,
Sincerely,
