In the dark, do the hands "balance" well against the numbers, or are they a bit overwhelmed by their glow?

The hands and numerals have about the same 'weight' so they compliment each other nicely.

Is there any AR coating on, or under, the crystal?

On this particular watch, no.

Would the rubber strap from the One-Tausend fit this model?

No, it's a different width.
