The cost to regulate each individual watch to a 5 seconds a day would add considerably to the cost of that watch. I don't think the market would support paying that additional cost. That is why you see so few COSC certified watches in our price class. We use the movements as they are supplied to us by the manufacturers of the movement - and they are guaranteed to be within +20 seconds a day.
As far as I know there is no MECHANICAL watch priced less than the $295 Nightflight that is guranteed to be more accurate.
