Steven,
I've owned my Principio chronograph for a little over three months and it gains about five seconds a day on my wrist, day in, day out. It runs a few seconds per 24 hours faster off my wrist, which I believe is due to temperature difference. In the five normal positions off my wrist, the max variation is about four seconds, which seems really good to me, especially considering the low price.
Here's my question: Since the normal wearing variation has been virtually zero, and the position tests indicate a remarkably consistent movement, how likely is a good watch adjuster to be able to adjust the movement to slow it down five seconds per 24 hours? We must be talking miniscule fractions of a percent. I realize we're gaining less than three minutes per month, but as I said, the daily variation is zero! I've had quartz watches which were not as consistent, but since they gained and loss a few seconds with no real pattern, the monthly time actually stayed pretty close to true. I'm telling you, count the number of days in the month, multiply by five and you will be within a second or two of this watch's time. It would be nice to adjust the gain out.
Have any of your other customers had similar results and do you believe it would be worth subjecting the watch to adjustment for such a small improvement? Is the 7750 adjustment even capable of such fine variations? Just wondering.
Thanks for a great product and informative forum!
