Hi Hyperscalers,

Just a week and a half to go before the "official" end to Hornet GB so
come on guys where is tham there Hornets?

On my last post I mentioned that I'd been forced to fall back on my old
Badger to get the basic painting done after breaking the tip on my "good"
airbrush so heres what I've done while (still) waiting on a new tip to do
the final weathering.

It took me 4 nights to do the decaling on this Hornet! I thought I would
never finish! Most of the under surface markings are almost invisible if (and
it may happen-its a fun build) I do another Academy Hornet then next time
I'll lighten up my medium grey underside colour with a touch of white to
let the markings show a little more. Just my opinion but I think Academy
has printed them a little to light in shade.

As my model will be "in flight" I then made using a piece of Oak that was
left over from kitchen shelving I built. Using some clear plastic rod that
I acquired from my local plastics company I when fashioned a couple of
supports for my Hornet. Note that the burner cans havent been cemented in
place at this time hence gape where cans meet rear frame.

Final detailing, weathering matt varnish and a "custom" (Hornet/Bear
Interceptor)decal to finish the base and she'll be done.
