Response to RB-45/B-45 Bomb Bay Request

I hope someone has these pictures, but the bomb bay on the B-45 was super secret at the time, especially after the bay was converted when the planes were given the nuclear strike role. Even with the modifications, the nuke barely fit and the bomb bays doors had the be removed to get the bomb in there. Later, however, an airman discovered that by grabbing the twin 50's in the tail, the plane would slowly come down on its tail skid and, with its nose off the ground, the bomb fit the bay rather easily without the removal of the doors.

Between the early B-45, the modified B-45, and the RB-45, there may be three different bomb bay configurations.
