. . . and likely several others. I think perhaps he may not get a lot of reaction to some subjects and figures they may end up as poor sellers. Many model companies do that. Remember the Hobbycraft Canada 1/48 Cougar? They send up trial balloons and see if there's enough interest in the market before proceeding to the expensive parts of the project.
I was surprised to even hear the idea of KC-135 decals floated. In 30+ years in the hobby I've seen maybe two or three KC-135s at club meetings or contests. TwoBobs and others can make more money by doing decals for F-14s, F-15s, F-16s, etc., as they are.
I like the KC-135, but I'll prolly never build one in 1/72nd scale.
I was lucky, when they made the Tiger Meet kit! That was my Reserve squadron at Seymour Jonson AFB NC, when they went to their first Tiger Meet in the KC-135. We had shared KC-10s before that with an active duty squadron before they moved them to MaGuire AFB NJ. My squadron also won the Airlift Rodeo in the KC-10 portion, the active duty squadrons hated our guts. We actually posted a perfect score in the air to air refueling. We started and ended on time without error! The following Rodeo we got first place in every event except for a 2nd place in preflight. They actually gave the trophy to the active duty squadron (also from Seymour) that got 2nd place in everthing and but got a 1st in the Preflight! Word was some general decided that "those Reservists will NOT win this compittition this year"! Unfair? Yes but if you protest, they eliminate you for being unsportsman like...
