It is all in the beholder's eye...

March 2 2012, 6:20 PM

I personally like the PAK T-50, Su-35 Flanker (both for their colours and shapes) and the Viper (for the shape, without the CFT), but I agree that the Rafale is sexy too (especially in those fictional Brazilian colours)...

Funny, I love to see...

March 9 2012, 3:54 PM

the CFT on the F-16.
It adds something to the interesting lines for me... a bit more SF like.

Ok, you've been "Shoot"...

March 3 2012, 3:28 PM

as in "ah shoot... " wink.gif

No offence personally, it's just that the majority (99%) of polls posted in modeling forums are filled with worthless content and smothers the worthwhile modeling post. I'd rather see another 109 or P-51 thread than another ubber-redundant "What's your favorite Jet, Model, Prop, cat, dog, car, etc....

Su-27...

The straight up vanilla flanker. Mean and bristling, but strangely beautiful. The whole plane just flows. It looks fast just sitting there.

Too many, but my fav is the F9F-8 Cougar.

March 3 2012, 2:15 PM

But man oh man there are so many other sexy jets.

F-94C, Panther, F-86, F-80, F-106, F-105's, even the tadpole A-6.
See just too many, even the new Rafale is sexy.

Planes I do not like appearance wise, Eurofighter, Mig-29, F-35, Saab Griffen, FJ-1 Fury.

IMO the F-86 is the best proportioned jet ever made, even after sixty years. nt

F-106

Good blend of form and function. Fast as all get out, and according to pilots a delight to fly.

Convair and North American never built an ugly-looking jet. Grumman on the other hand only got lucky once with the F11F.

SR-71, XB-70, and the Concord for me.

March 7 2012, 4:17 PM

The L1049 come in close, but I still like the fast movers. I wish I had flown in the Concord, but I could never afford the price of the flight let alone a stay in England or France, but that is another story.

The poll should be second best jet aircraft

March 11 2012, 4:22 PM

This question was also asked last week.

Hands down the best looking is the F-104 Starfighter. The second best is something other than the F-104 Starfighter.
