There is a strake that runs 2/3 along the length of this missile, can you tell me what it is for?

The thing along the outside between the fins? That is the umbillical cover. There is a wire bundle under that.

That is called a raceway. It is a cover for wiring and other conduits. Missiles of all sizes have them because those items cannot be routed through the body.
