Thought you would like to know that Mike Taggart bought the well known 2.5 Liter Mod Hot Shot last fall.
4 Time National Champion: 1985, 1986, 1990, 1991.
Several lap records, etc..
Driver:Doug Felster / Hull:Tom D'Eath
The hull is in our shop undergoing refit/restoration. The hull is in basically good condition with a few minor issues. The original paint and graphics which were done at the Pontiac special projects shop in Detroit are still looking sharp. Engine: Pontiac "Iron Duke" 151 cu. in. Four. This was the engine that Pontiac developed for midget sprint-car racing. The boat engine was one-of-kind, developed with Pontiac factory support. The engine was extremely strong, raced with considerable controversy, and was torn down under protest more than once. Mike Nabor, who was part of the original Hot Shot team, has a supply of original Pontiac developed race parts at his shop near Detroit (Super-duty Block, Forged Crank, High Performance Heads, etc.). He is at work building a new engine and promises 320+ HP. The project is well along, and we are planning to be at vintage events this summer.

We had a fun summer last year. The high point was having Sherman Polhamus behind the wheel of his old boat Tiger (also part of Mike's growing collection) at the Celina Nationals. Sherman, who is well into his seventies, really hammered it. I drove Justa-Pest II.

I've also included some pics of Justa-Pest at Celina and our B-Runabout rebuild.
