Can someone explain why the 5 liter class is dead????? I have several 5 liter boats in my yard and nobody wants to money in them to get them fixed until some sort of direction is set in stone. It seems that noone can make up there minds on all the "stock" rule changes that have been made. Not to go way back to the w#b%r rule was made over ileagal valve work on the stock heads. I just know the 628 hull was going to go back together untill the sudden rule change witch made his ford that he had been running was made illeagal.
This is a follow up to the post on yahoo asking why the 5 liter count is down.
Know weight in the boats changed and it's not about wood boats cause Snover had to add wieght whats up!!!!
Keogh several years ago spent some good money to put the boat on a diet just to turn around and have to add wieght back WTF. Who or what is controling this stuff.
It just seems that the old timers That dominate the class know all the tricks and the newbees are there just to fill the feild.
And if these 2.5 stock boats go to Mexico what is the plans for the class??????
I just hate to turn away work but have to kick boats out of the yard till that are just sitting there till anybody knows what is going on. Did the rules get changed for all because of this new boat?????????
Trying to come up with some answers to help out.
Steve

Just saw this and I am amused. Don't worry Billy, I just consider the source. Once again, Steve Balcer is mis-informed and rambling about topics where he has NO idea what the hell he is talking about. Come on Steve... if you want to run our name thru the mud, talk specifics and I will happily set the record straight. Otherwise, stick to topics you understand.

Just would like to see true compition back in the sport. I think it would help the sport in the long run and restore peoples faith that they can spend money in a boat and have a chance over the dominate ones that know how to win.
Just trying to help for the long term or maybe I'm just wasteing time
