I think it´s completely up to the local people what they want to offer tourists and I am afraid that a nudist beach/camp -which is only of interest for a very small group- is not what they want (see also other responses).
On the other hand, after more than eight years of tourism related experiences in Mauritius, I´ve really never never heard of someone missing a nudist recreation area there.
The worst thing of all is, that there are still people who think that they can ´buy off´ the respect and cultural values of local people instead of respecting them.
Do you think you are far above the population, because you have money? Do you really think that a ransom of only ff500.000 will be enough to do what you want there, just because you and a few others think that everything goes for the big money. The respect for the Mauritians who want to keep the cultural values in their home country is already a million times more worth than that!
