RE: CPS Protest in Berkeley, California.
This protest will be in front of State Assembly Representative Dion Aroner office at 918 Parker Street, Berkeley, CA 94710 Date May 2, 2001. Time 1:00 p.m. We would like this protest on a day her office will be open. I had an experience meeting Dion Aroner when she was running for head of Supervisor Committee of the Department of Health Human Services in California. She made a speech in front of a witness who I was with. Dion Aroner said that the public should get involve with the Dept. of Health and Human Services meetings. Because the public is not aware of laws that are being passed. I introduce my self as Mothers Friend known as Gloria Guerra. I agreed with her. I told her that laws were needed to be changed in the child abuse laws to give parents due process and give fairness in the juvenile courts. She had spoken to me and said I agree. This was a few years ago this happen. I had wrote her letters and her letters were uncaring letters. She never return any phone calls or tried to help make any changes. Instead she had stop from passing certain child abuse laws that would protect innocent parents, along with her dear husband who is in charge of the Social Workers Union. I have tried to get an answer from her office where the Dept.of Health and Human Services meetings would be located at. Instead I would get the run around and no answers. I heard the public can attend the Dept. of Health and Human Services meetings that is held in Sacramento, California. But I have no idea where the meetings are held. Dion Aroner office is also located in Sacramento at room 2163 and the number at the Sacramento, CA office is (916) 319-2014. We need to stop this person who we voted into office to help CPS pass laws behind voters backs. Dion Aroner has meetings in different locations so the public can not find out where the meetings will be held. CPS makes their own laws for their best interest. CPS then hands the juvenile laws to the Governor and he signs for the CPS laws, but most of the time with out question. CPS gives the legislature campaign money for their pay back to get CPS laws pass behind voters backs. We must stop CPS abuses and get involve by protesting, and finding out where the CPS meetings are held.
