It is unfortunate that the Comets have taken such a turn for the worse - the team does not suppor its own team - the coaching staff walked out on them and their fans do not even show up to their games... Not much reason to wanna succeed.

Kingsville is just Kingsville, but thhats what happens when you stock your team full of locals and other teams castaways..........I will bet a lot of money if Kingsville bring in an Impact Coach, and there is a decent list of candidates they will be a much better team next season....Im talking about guys like Mazella, Winters, Garrod, Pajot, ¸guys with contacts and can put effective scouting staffs together....kingsvilles biggest problem is their inferior scouts over the past few seasons.......Bottom line is intelligent hockey people must be brought in and given the control to make this a competitive franchise again....

The whole league, concept of Junior C should be dissolved, it is a waste of time, money and valuable ice time assets. FACT. "C" players are the ones who smoke pot, drink to excess, flunk out of school...act in inappropreiate fashion in public...fundamental losers of society.

I don't think Kingsville can be accused of "stocking their team with locals" The town has had it's share of good hockey players, very few of which end up playing for the Comets. No argument with the disasterous scouting of the past several seasons though.

Lets see I think I can bring lighton which league has the problem when it comes to school and drugs,most kids in C are in school already and ar eplaying to have fun and still play at a competitive level and also I can pick 3 Cteams right now that probably would take about 1/2 the B teams on and win so don t even start with that crap. B is a level where the scouts are going to show up and sign them to NHL contracts, boys dream again the only difference between B and C is the C players are smarter and they know when their dreams are over.And for the drugs and booze like I said C players wait until after the game to do drugs and booze where the B players do it before and during the game.

No you wouldn't pick 3 of the C teams that could be half of the B teams because it probably wouldn't happen. They may have a couple of teams that they could beat but it probably would be a close game. They kids in B are smarter on the ice and for the most part faster. The players in C would go for the body check and have a good chance of missing because the players in B would skate around them.

But lets hear your argument about how much the 'almighty' Essex would beat any of the B teams by.

junior B is similar to the Euro trash leagues full of pretty boys, junior c is god north american hockey.......

i would really like to see essex play a jr B team, it is more than obvious that they could play with any one of those teams if you dont think so you havnt seen essex play hockey. i have seen the first place sarnia team play and essex could beat them if not it would be a very close game. it would never happen but if it did i think essex would leave a team embarrased that they just lost to a C team

how can you say that essex could play sarnia. it is two totally different hockey leagues. that is like saying that an AHL hockey team can compete with an NHL just by looking at the two teams. you cannot compare two teams in different levels of hockey because the style of play is different in every league. for example: c is more body contact and tougher hockey while b is smarter and based on speed and puck control. me saying this stuff makes no difference as this is a c forum and you all think that c is good and legendary hockey based on all of the other stupid comments that are posted regularly on this forum. time to watch some real hockey...especially you essex fans.

To the guy who posted about an AHL team playing an NHL team. Well bud it happened this year. The Philly Phantoms played the Philly Flyers just before the start of the regular season and the AHL Phantoms won.

You got that right. Kitch was always looking everywhere for players... except his own backyard. Those players they have from that midget team were not even the real impact players on that team, and that's not a knock on them, they are still solid players, but the Comets organization seemed to have no interest and/ or knowledge towards that team. Would that have changed the Comets fortunes? Maybe not, but there was certainly no due dilligance done on the Comets part.

The top line was Mastronardi, Lentsch, and Thuy? That's interesting since Thuy is the only forward in that group. Rivait is another defenceman, and Bakes missed too many games to be on the top line. Tiedeman and the Kuzmik brothers are better candidates.

Obviously you don't know what "liquidate" means. If you actually "liquidate" the Comets, there is no team left to bring in new coaches for. They are gone, out of the league, finished as a hockey club. What you are refering to is closer to "cleaning house" which should have been done long ago. Despite stories last year about their "improvement" or that they were the "surprise" of the league, from an organizational and managerial standpoint, it was an unmitigated disaster.

I have heard rumours of a list of new coaches for next season from guys like Ott and Winter to guys that are coaching Midget to the current assistant coaches for Kingsville.What would the best route be?

Many teams go throught the ups and downs... Comets are in one of the down years. They'll be back. The talent is there this year, they are just playing (as Pat Quinn would say) "ad lib hockey'. They're not playing as a team.

Sx could play in Jr B loop...and do very well...they would not get out of the SW league though... London, Sarnia, St. Mary's and Strathroy are all better teams. SX could handle Chatham, Forest, Petrolia pretty easily. The Jr C team to watch for is Wheatley.....goalie gets hot and SX will be done in 6.

The fans in SX are brutal. Fat guys with no life yelling at kids.....stay home and yell at your dog you clowns! Most of these 'kids' would kick our asses one on one you morons! i watched a game there recently.... the fans were embarassing.... I thought I was in Flin Flon....again! Nothing has changed in SX in 35 years.... only the faces in the crowd.... same stupid juvenile behaviour... Go Wheatley!

We also have the most attendance in the league. Yes we may yell and get into the Game. But this gets our team going and get our Team pumped.
